Being thankful makes us see things better: that it ain’t bad

Hi everyone.

Our article this week seeks to encourage us to keep moving forward even when it seems like there is no light at the end of the tunnel.

It doesn’t matter how bad it is until you start doing something about it.

We all go through challenges, difficulties, real tough stuff like unemployment, homelessness, friends moving away from you, feeling despised, rejection, belittled, mocked, gossiped about and so on.

It’s time to do something about it.

Choices

When it seems like there is no escape we have a choice. Some people choose to walk away from it all or throw in the towel and give up. Others diversify, try new things and there are those who try to adapt to the changing environment, reaching out and so on. All these are choices.

Taking time out: A break is a good idea, but don’t stay away forever. It’s good to stay connected. Getting back after a long period of time will be difficult, its like learning the ropes again. Life’s events move fast, keeping away for too long may start new challenges.

We all deserve success in life, that’s my belief. Open up yourself to receive and create the right environment for you to grow and survive.

  • Be accommodating
  • Embrace help from others.
  • Change things.

Take responsibility and acknowledge your mistakes and where you went wrong. It is often easy to blame others when things don’t work out the way we had planned them to.

Climbing down is okay, nothing wrong with that.

Maybe you once owned a successful enterprise, perhaps a chain of restaurants and you’re down operating a tuck shop. That tuck shop may be the makings of your breakthrough.

You need a way of getting people back into your business/project. There are various ways of meeting new people:

  • through similar hobbies
  • church
  • sport
  • place of work
  • social media and so on.

Time for God and prayer is another choice. God has the ability to make you shine. He will make you rise up against others and get noticed. Give God a chance.

  • Appreciate God
  • Apologize
  • Have a relationship with God

God wants to hang up with you, give him a chance. James 4;8 ‘draw near to God and he will draw near to you’.

Prayer sustains me when I’m going through challenges. Don’t give up.

Opportunity

The answer may be out there and operating a tuck shop in the community is just what you may need right now, down sizing and trying new things.

Get the courage to try new things and don’t be afraid of failure. Failure happens and that’s how we learn from it and try to get it right next time.

Opportunities will come looking for you. Continue putting yourself out there, being there for others and not giving up.

  • Build
  • Open yourself up to receive
  • Create the right environment for you to work and grow.

Every victory and opportunity starts with you. Look inside you, your heart and look unto God.

Live your life without giving up.

John 10;10 ‘I came that you may have life, and have it in all its fullness’.

  • Whatever the outcome, keep hope alive.
  • Your breakthrough may be closer than you think.

Loving each other and caring for each other it’s all that matters in this world.
